The department of Computer Science is a mentionable department. It has set out its journey in 1996 as General Course. Honours Course has been introduced in 2008. Nobody can proceed a single step without this science related to computer because it is indispensable and necessary to us in this present age. Privilege should be come by from the government for making the modern generation fully. True to say huge grants is essential for the total development of this department. This college is situated in the heart of industrial belt and there is huge demand of computer science. The learners who are going out from this department have been able to get jobs and they have already been appointed in TCS, IBM, Google, SBI Life, CTS, Wipro and other private sector, in the age of internet. The demand is increasing day by day and this department is making efforts for the fulfillment of the urge. The hindrance in case of total advancement of this department is lack of grants, whole time teachers and infrastructure. Yet it is a hopeful affair that it is scattering light of knowledge and hope inspire of having such want as well as obstacles. This department is absorbed in bringing forth the sound body and mind and enriched environment that respond swiftly to the challenges of the ensuing century ahead of us. The Computer Laboratory of this department is a basic component of the Institute’s infrastructure, providing a wide range of support to the students and faculties involved in some new creativity and other academic activities. The Laboratories provides the hands-on need of today’s industry requirements and what they learn in the classrooms. All students have various Computer Science papers in their courses. The Computer Science department is equipped with eight laboratories with over 9 working personal Computers available for conducting laboratory sessions including One software, and one hardware laboratory is available to provide all kind of learning support to the students. New and updated software as well as equipments are regularly incorporated in laboratories to give students an added advantage. The wide range of software’s to learn programming languages such as C, C++, JAVA, PYTHON, DBMS, PHP etc. is installed on computers. Beside learning the computer science, students use to perform in different program in and outside the premises of the institution like Poster Making Competition, Quiz Competition and making different types of IT Project.
